  • Increase. Last week, 258 contracts were reported signed in Manhattan, up 3% week-over-week and 8% year-over-year.

  • Streak. This was the first time since February that reported signed contracts have increased annually for three consecutive weeks.

  • Surge. New development sales drove the year-over-year increase with 41 signed contracts, an 86% annual increase.

  • Influence. As seen last week, 520 Fifth was key to the robust number of new development sales with 12 contracts reported signed.

  • Growth. Sales improved annually for 15 of 20 categories, including a 40% increase in contracts asking $3M to $5M.

  • Decline. Last week, 76 contracts were signed in Brooklyn, down 12% week-over-week and 16% year-over-year.

  • Variation. Compared to a year ago, condo contracts fell 30% (17 sales) whereas co-op sales improved 6% (two sales).

  • Shift. Sales under $2M declined 23% annually but improved 50% year-over-year over $2M.

  • Surge. Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill/Dumbo/Downtown Brooklyn had the largest increase in contract activity, a difference of six deals (up 35%).
